For example, I'm currently listening to

UGK - [Underground Kingz (Disc 1) #10] Take Tha Hood Back (Ft. Slim Thug, Vicious & Middle Fingaz)

The song title is tagged as such (Take Tha Hood Back (Ft. Slim Thug, Vicious & Middle Fingaz)) but appears as:

Take Tha Hood Back (Ft. Slim T

on MSN, and in IRC when I eval my np alias.

alias foobar return $dde(mPlug,format,"foobar2000:_%name_(%pm:%ps/%min:%sec_-_%br~Kbps)_(pl:_%pos/%ll))

Also, if I do //echo -a $dde(mPlug,format,"%2") it echos the same thing, Take Tha Hood Back (Ft. Slim T, although the tag is most definitely the full title.

It doesn't happen on all songs, but enough where it makes me wonder "wth?"

Use forum search for id3v2 or Unicode.

How can I tag my files with id3v2 2.3? I use TagScanner atm and it auto does it to 2.4, but has the option of unicode or not.

Is there a way the user could add support for id3v2 2.4 or would that be too hard to do?

It's planned for 3.0. I've answered this question million times.

Tag&Rename is known to write AMIP (actually id3lib) compatible id3v2 tags (when Unicode is off).
