I've had no problems with iTunes and AMIP in the past, but after a recent version update it now crashes whenever I play tracks that have non-standard English characters anywhere in the MP3 tag. If I turn AMIP off I have no problems at all.

Any ideas what could be causing the trouble?

Can you upload a file that causes a crash somewhere?

I've uploaded one here:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/t2ssbj
In this file there is only a Japanese tilde "~" in the "Album Artist" tag. If I play it with AMIP running, iTunes instantly crashes. If I remove the tilde, it no longer crashes. If I turn off AMIP, it no longer crashes.

As I listen to a lot of Japanese music I have a few thousand tracks in my library with many more foreign characters than that, and they all show the same results.

I have no idea what the problem is. It's only started recently, and my computer is setup to handle foreign text as I have to read/write Japanese on a daily basis.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
