Well, here's my problem. AMIP seems to be being picky about which songs it'll read tags from and which it won't. For example this Nile album I'm listening to right now.
CODE np: Nile - 4 - Kheftiu Asar Butchiu (In Their Darkened Shrines, 2002) -- Track 4 works according to the syntax I like, but this is what happens on track 3. CODE np: - - (, ) -- I recently downgraded all my tags to ID3v2.3 ISO because I read that my problem could lie in the fact that I used ID3v2.4 UTF-8, but this didn't fix anything. Additionally, it doesn't matter if I remove the tags from the file completely and manually add new ones, AMIP just doesn't pick them up. Could it be a problem with the amipwrapper component in Foobar? Also, the tracks that AMIP won't read change between restarts of Foobar, which by the way is version 9.4.5, the current one availble from the website. Anybody got any idea what's going on? EDIT: I'd also like to mention that I'm meticulous about tagging my files, and I'm pretty damn sure that each and every file has been properly tagged. The possibility of malformed tags or no tags at all is a non-issue. -- Brendan |

Try Tag&Rename to tag your files, make sure Unicode option is disabled in it.
If the problem remains, provide a sample file. |

Try Tag&Rename to tag your files, make sure Unicode option is disabled in it. I'm currently using Mp3tag (you can grab it at http://www.mp3tag.de/en/index.html), which performs the exact same function as Tag&Rename, but freeware and with a better designed interface. I removed all the ID3v2.4 unicode tags from my files, and they're all currently in ID3v2.3 ISO-8859-1. I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the files themselves, because Foobar is recognising everything correctly, and so is every other media player I have access to, and as I mentioned before the files that AMIP will read from change with each restart of the plugin/media player, so it would be impossible to post a sample file. -- Brendan |

Then I have no idea how we can proceed with this issue. Is it possible that your media library overwrites your tags in unsupported format?
