Hey there,
I should say first and foremost that I'm not very experienced with this kind of thing. I appreciate any help that anyone can offer, but please try to be clear with terms and such, since I'm fairly new to this. So, I'm having trouble getting the YIM Integration tool to show what I'm listening to. I currently have the latest version of YIM, and the latest version of iTunes. As far as I know, all I should need to do to make this work correctly is check the "Enable" box for Yahoo! Messanger Integration, and ensure that it's picking up on my User ID (which it seems to be, whether I enter it manually, or use Autodetect). I also know that it's advised to leave the Status Message # at 5, which I did. (I have tried using Status Message #4 as well, but it doesn't change anything). My problem is this: Everytime I start a song in iTunes, my YIM status simply changes to a previously saved status message and the Now Playing info isn't showing up. When I Pause/Play a song, it does the same thing (changes my status to a previously saved message). It's clear that it is at least picking up on my User ID, but I'm not sure why it's not displaying the correct info (np: %name). I'm very excited to use this new feature, so if anyone can help me fix this, your assistance is greatly appreciated. *Note: I saw something about this in another YIM topic: If it helps, I generally have YIM set to remember my Yahoo ID and Password. I tried changing that setting to see if it would help this, and it didn't change anything. |

I didn't know what a registry was before this... After much research though, I found a way to make it work. Thanks for the help! |
