AMIP Community _ Support _ Slowdown when using amip

When I install amip winamp takes about 10 seconds to load (usually instant) and the memory usuage increases from 3mb to over 11mb.
I only use amip for hotkey/clipboard pasting of the current track, is there anyway to reduce this delay/usuage requirement?

It may be related to the problem described http://amip.tools-for.net/wiki/manual/faq#player_hangs_or_crashes_on_start_when_amip_is_installed.

You can try to open plugin.ini file in winamp/plugins directory and change AMIP options there as shown below:
