Hi, im running Winamp 5.531
Amip 2.63
Windows xp, Sp3

after about 2/3 songs, gen_irc.dll is reported to crash winamp.
i only use it for file generation for 1337sig. so all other options, mirc(transport disabled),yahoo, skype, msn, google, remote api, clipboard are disabled, & hotkeys are off too.

Any ideas as to what might fix the issue?
thanks for your help smile.gif

Ok, after spending a few hours trying different songs, with/without embedded art, lyrics ect, all tags with standard English characters, it refused to crash again for me.
So i left it running, and started Firefox for my usual rummage on the web, as soon as firefox came up, winamp crashed, again reporting gen_irc.dll at fault.

I repeated this (exit firefox, run winamp, run firefox) about 30 times, 27 of those times winamp exited as firefox came up.

If i run firefox, then winamp, winamp will play for a short duration (maybe 5/10 mins) if i leave it all alone.

it will crash quicker if i browse with firefox (randomly, i cant make any connection with anything i do with firefox in particular, page (re)loads, using different functions ect, its just crashed again as i write this)

Also it will crash every 1 in 10 times i restore Firefox from the system tray (using minimise to tray plugin)

is it possible to email you Firefox's About:config.xul information page? would that be of any use?
as it wont let me upload it to this post, even if i rename to aboutconfig.txt for some reason.

Many thanks smile.gif
