I'm using MSN 7.5.0322, iTunes 6.0.4.2, and AMIP iTunes 2.53. AMIP is set to display song info. as Artist - Title. When I select and play a song in iTunes, I find that the format displays correctly only for the first few seconds, before it reverts back to Title - Artist (which I believe is the default MSN format). I use AMIP with Winamp as well and this doesn't happen. I'm wondering if anyone can help me figure out what the problem is. Thanks.

iTunes has its own integration with MSN, it replaces song information set by AMIP.
Workaround is described here. Read description for Performance | Display delay option and set it to 5000. |

I have discovered a much better and more solid workaround.
1. Open Windows Media Player (I know you have in installed because it's needed to enable the MSN feature) AMIP will still work and your custom formatting will no longer be overridden by iTunes because MSN is no longer expecting iTunes to send information. |

I've tried both solutions and they don't seem to work. It would work for one song, but once it plays the next song or I select another song, the same problem occurs. I've tried setting the Display Delay option to 50000 and the same problem occurs.

50000 is too much, you should try values between 3000 and 10000.

I've already tried all sorts of values and I still have the same problem, so I don't think changing the value for Display Delay option is the solution.

It worked for many people I talked to.

Ok... I don't know what I'm doing wrong then. Is Parse Delay set to 0?

I tried the option to uncheck the plugin in windows media player. At first it seemed like it wasn't working (it didn't show any info at all), but with the next song, it worked!
The option to change the delay was only working for 1 song |
