Okay, I'm using mIRC 6.35 on Windows Vista (Home Premium)

I've installed AMIP and the AMIP Configurator

Following the instructions/FAQ, and how I want stuff to announce, I've done the following:

//describe $active is now listening to: %1 / %4 (%5) / %3: %2

in IRC Integration < Presets < 1

And in mIRC Aliases (Which I got to by pressing alt+r in the main window and then getting at the Aliases tab:

/F12 /dde mplug announce preset 1

Except, when I hit F12, nothing happens!

(Obviously I hit 'Okay' after both the above changes and they're still saved in there.)

Why would the announce still not come up?

Any help greatly appreciated.

DDE may not work correctly in some Windows versions, try using the socket transport, see on the beta/sdk downloads page -- ac_mirc.zip and refer to the instructions.
