the most common media playing on linux is, as far as i know xmms, which is a lot like winamp, or at least it is design trying to be like winamp.

i was wondering, simply enough, if it's possible to use amip on a linux system? or if you could port it.

the obvious difference would be that a replacement to curl.exe would have to be found..

AMIP is heavily tied to the Windows API. It cannot be ported to linux, it would be easier to write such thing from scratch.
