AMIPDS title shortening Options

im wondering if its possible to shorten the title in the web-pic because my webradio has too much stuff in it and gets way too small to read. i tried to use the $strip function in amipweb.config like

CODE

-d "title=&func_ue($strip(www.address.com,%name))"

to cut the webadress out, but it fails and gives out an error =\ i think its the parantheses ()

is there a workaround or something?
