I'm trying to parse other tags, other than those used in %1-%7, such as the Discnumber tag. This at all possible?
Either I'm going blind or it doesn't seem to be in the documentation. Tried searching, too, but couldn't see anything that fit the bill really. Also, %4 (for album) seems to struggle with full stops, or something? For instance, my preset is set to: //describe $active np: %name [%4] [%pm:%ps/%min:%sec] [%br %?VBR='yes'<VBR|CBR>/$uc(%ext)] Which, for the following album, is coming out as: * Tinis np: Bob Dylan - Tomorrow Is A Long Time [Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol.] [01:05/03:01] [217 VBR/MP3] Whereas, the album part should be "Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. II". The tag's definitely not using unicode or anything, I re-wrote them just to make sure. Not quite sure what's happening. Any ideas on either of these would be much appreciated. Ta. |

If the file has proper ID3v2 tags supported by AMIP, you can access advanced tags as described at:
http://amip.tools-for.net/oldhelp/id3tag.htm But I'm afraid that disc number tag is not present there. |

Ah, alright, thanks. & thanks a lot for the super-quick reply, too. Any idea on the second issue? |

You probably have both v1 and v2 tags, v2 cannot be read for some reason and AMIP falls back to v1 version, therefore long strings are truncated.

Wish that was the case: I removed the entire tag and rewrote them manually with mp3tag which is specifically set to write only id3v2 tags. e: never mind! Mysteriously started working. Strange. Thanks a lot for all your help! Appreciated. |

Try Tag&Rename to see if there are any additional tags.
