This should be pretty simple to implement given the exist AMIP infrastructure. You really just need to interface with a website and have some way of specifying that ideally so that people can write heir own scripts to do it. I was thinking to publish Now Playing in a facebook status for example. Just need to log onto facebook and pump a string into the Status box and voila ...

Would love something like this - now playing info posted as a FB status message. There's a now playing app already on facebook but the guy who wrote it charges $15 for it sad.gif

This would indeed be very cool. What would be even better however is a widget that can be placed in, for the example, the "About Me" section so now playing could be updated passively instead of actively via multiple status updates. Cheers for everyone's work on AMIP

Totally agree with hawkinbj. That widget would be excellent, especially as the about me box is pretty much dead space. Is it possible? Also, great application, thank you.
