I wonder if AMIP supports unicode. Some of my songs are in languages other than English. But the tags are in unicode characters. They work fine with the Windows Media Player's now playing, and some other 3rd party Winamp now playing plug-ins. However, I only saw some -???-??? in messenger with AMIP.

oh sorry and I meant for the global paste function - I just use %s as my string, and let foobar send all its data, but somehow all japanese characters become converted to "?"...

I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but whenever I use the latest AMIP in combination with the latest version of foobar2000 (0.9.3.x), when I try to play a song with Japanese characters in the tags, foobar just crashes. When I disable AMIP, the files play just fine.
I've tried reinstalling foobar and AMIP from scratch and adding optional components one by one, but it's really AMIP that causes the crash. I can live with Japanese getting displayed as question marks, but this is slightly more aggravating. Coren EDIT: I just noticed that foobar doesn't crash with symbols like , they just get displayed as ö. |

Characters with accents get converted to different letters or (two) screwed up characters.
Examples:  -> d Č -> (nothing/does not show) ě -> ě  -> m  -> Ă ň -> H  -> v ř -> Ĺ  -> š ť -> ĹĄ ů -> ĹŻ ů -> o  -> }  ->Ă These should at lest convert to their non-accent counterparts ( -> a etc.). And of course Japanese characters get converted to question marks. It's annoying to have to fix it manually each time I want to post somewhere. If you find time to work on the project, please do add the support. P.S.: Why wasn't Unicode supported to begin with? So American... |
