When I open up iTunes, I get the message from an AIMP window saying "Error connecting to the COM! Please reinstall iTunes and reboot."
I assume it's not being able to sync from iTunes to my PC or something. Any ideas? I am using xchat, latest. Latest iTunes, and latest AIMP plugins. I just uninstalled everything and cleared the folders, and reinstalled everything |

iTunes is not able to register COM object which is used by AMIP to communicate with the player. Try more recent iTunes versions and installation from the administrator account.

Did you reboot? What iTunes version do you use?

Try 7.4 version released recently. There must be something wrong with your system. Some disabled service or component probably. What OS do you use?

I reformatted, and it's fixed now. Not sure what was causing it though.

I ran into this issue as well, even went so far as to reinstall iTunes. Figured out what the issue was, at least on my end. First off, the COM services were disabled in the services section of windows. Not sure if that was an issue, really, but I switched them to automatic. Then I went into Skype in the advanced options and found iTunes had somehow gotten denied permissions. I shut down iTunes, removed the denial permission, started iTunes up again and it works fine now.
Good thing to double check. |
