hi all,

first off i'd like to say a huge thank you for this awesome piece of software, excellent work!

The issue that im having is that i have a home server which has itunes on it (win 7 x64 ultimate, itunes 10.7.0.21) and it streams my media from its library around the house using home sharing to the likes of my ipad and iphone. its been working fine since day 1, i installed AMIP and suddenly i cant connect my ipad to the server. I can see the server, i click on it and it just spins (on the ipad).

Ive tried restarting the server, restarting the ipad, restarting the router, checking the firewall ports, and still nothing. AMIP itself works (im using it to output my now playing to a text file, which i then use in my gaming streams overlay) but there is a direct correlation of installing AMIP to home sharing not working.

Just thought i'd give you guys the heads up.

AMIP and x64 applications

Hi!

I've been using AMIP for quite some time. Excellent plug-in! I'm using it for winamp.

I'm mostly using it's hotkey combination for various applications and today I noticed it doesn't work at all with x64 programs.

I've tested: Internet Explorer x64, Miranda x64 - both didn't work at all.
It works just fine with Firefox (32 bit) or any other 32 bit application.

I have tested generic winamp hotkey combinations - they did work in x64 applications, but not AMIP's hotkey, so I guess it's 99.9% issue related to AMIP.

Could you please look into it and update plug-in for winamp / foobar / others?

iTunes starts permanentely after deinstallatian

Hi,

i used AMID for a long time and everything was cool, but when i decided to deinstall the program big trouble starts: Everytime I close iTunes, the player starts itself again - there is no way of closing it - its running all the time.
To solve that problem I tried to:

- Re-Install iTunes - no effect
- Re-Install Skype - no effect
- Install AMIP again and deinstall again - no effect
- Even a complete Re-Install of the OS (Win7/64) had no effect

I dont know, which process or programm calls iTunes to open itself. Maybe its Skype.

Please, if there is anyone out there, who can help: Tell me that trick!

As described in the title, the gen_irc.dll crashes MediaMonkey 4.0.2.1462. With MediaMonkey 3 all worked well.

I have Yahoo Messenger 11, and Foobar2000 v 1.1.19. Amip works fine with WLM, but nada with Yahoo. I have tried both autodetect for my login and manual entry, and nothing seems to work.

Anyone else have issues with this?

Horrible sound problem in iTunes after installing plugin

After installing the iTunes plugin, songs in iTunes started to make a horrible clanking sound. I know it's not a sound problem with my computer because I don't get this with other media players. I uninstalled both the plugin and iTunes and then reinstalled iTunes withOUT AMIP and songs are still making the sound. I've attached an audio clip so you can hear what I'm talking about. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks.

AMIP not updating dynamic formating while playing

Any dynamic string i add like these:
%sle - Seconds left to play
%prc - current percentage of song being played

Never updates when playing a song. Sure every new song updates to show the current song.
But thats it, any dynamic string i add while the song is on dosent seem to work.

The %sle for example says 402 (seconds) on the msn all the way to the end of the song and never updates (counts down)..

I use Latest msn messenger 2011, and latest Foobar2000 with latest AMIP+Configurator and Win 7 Ultimate x64.

Any id� why ?, how can i start troubleshooting this?

I just updated to iTunes 10.5.0.142 and AMIP seems to have stopped working with MIRC. I am wondering if this is only a problem on my side or if AMIP does not work with current version and will it be updated?

I have been using AMIP for years now and love it. Thanks for such an awesome plugin!

Ok so basically I came back to amip today after few years of not using it and I've noticed that the bug that has always been there is still in it. Despite turning of the key binds in amip options, I still can't use alt+z properly (OR rather I can not use it at all when amip is installed on my system). You may wonder why is that so important, well I'm from Poland and alt+z is the shortcut for the letter Ż (not sure if you can actually see this). So I'd like to ask if there are any plans to correct that problem or not, cause it's basically present in amip since 2007 IIRC...

Bugged AMIP in latest Winamp version

AMIP just stopped working when i installed new version of winamp recently, clipboard shows only %name variable, and in irc "�G"

I've tried everything, reinstalling amip, using older version, deleting plugin.ini, adjusting settings
nothing helped...
working on lower versions of winamp without problems tho

AMIP Configurator fails under Win7 Ultimate x64 with JRE 7

This is so frustrating because I love this program.

AMIP will show its splash screen, then all of my programs will slow down (especially Milkdrop2). Then, after this is done, I see a blank generic Java window in the taskbar which apparently has a window. I cannot interact with it at all.

Both x86 and x64 versions of JRE 7 are installed. Any tips?

Can't change song on Windows Live MSN 2009

Hi. First of all, I'll let you know my set-up:

� Windows 7
� Windows Live Messenger 2009
� AMIP for Foobar 1.x v2.67
� AMIP Configurator v0.34
� Foobar2000 v1.1.7

My problem is that MSN doesn't change from song to song in the same album. It just do only if you manually change on different album songs or playing the playlist in a random order. I'd tried lof of things I though it would solve it, but nothing seems to work for now. Maybe I'm missing any unknown option, though.

Hi, I use latest AMIP for winamp, latest AMIP dll for XChat, XChat 2.8.9 and AIMP 3.00.2.881

Sometimes NP plugin from Xchat says AMIP is not running or is misconfigured, but plugin is loaded and works. Sometimes i can fix this bug with command /ac announce preset 3? but now plugin still not responding.

Multiple Skype Instances

With Yahoo! 10.0.0.1270-us, rather than simply changing the given status to the current song info, AMiP seems to change it then cycle to another. I'm guessing the new version doesn't keep "numbered" messages like mentioned in Configurator.

Mediamonkey + MirandaIM

So I'm using AMIP for winamp, which also works for Mediamonkey.
I want that my statusmessage of Miranda IM changes to the song I'm listening to.

I downloaded these files:

amip_winamp.zip
amip_mirandaim.zip

I read the readme's of them and followed their instructions.
The plugin in Mediamonkey seems to work fine.

In MirandaIM, I can announce the song I'm currently listening to, by typing /np. But I can't auto-change my statusmessage to the song. I also can't enable this function: it's greyed out:

I'm using AMIP 2.67 & MediaMonkey 3.2 & Yahoo! Messenger 10.0.0 on a Windows 7 Professional system.

I have a strange problem... No matter what format I choose either in the plugin configuration from MediaMonkey Options menu or in the Java AMIP configurator, what i get in the messenger status is np: Artist - Title like the format np: %name is always set. I tried various formats, i choosed clipboard, i deleted the np:, etc. but nothing happens. All I get is np: Artist - Title.

Can anyone give me a hint? I can't figure out what might be the problem...

Not exactly a bug, but Foobar 1.0 (released 2010-01-09) requires an update for AMIP. Other than that, I haven't had any problems with AMIP.

When enabling the option "Resume playback after restarting foobar2000", the player will, if in a paused state when closed, return to the same paused position upon restart. AMIP does not recognize this and will report it as playing.

How to return old Cyrillic mood in Skype
