Library not adding m4a files

Forgive if this has been addressed, I didn't find it in Search. My m4a files play just fine but they are unseen in the library, am I doing something wrong? I love this software btw, thanks!

Y!M 10 not changing status properly

With Yahoo! 10.0.0.1270-us, rather than simply changing the given status to the current song info, AMiP seems to change it then cycle to another. I'm guessing the new version doesn't keep "numbered" messages like mentioned in Configurator.

I read through everything, searched the forums and couldn't find anything to help. After reading I think I have it right, but still can't get it to display how I'd like it. This is what I currently have:

Twitter update issue

I'm trying to get amip to post to twitter. Based on this guide it should be easy. I tested a curl script similar to the one in the article via command line and it works.

So in theory all I have to do is put the following into an irc preset or callbacks/web, correct? No dice

Foobar troubleshooter says AMIP needs updating

Even after I updated to the latest version of AMIP, the Foobar troubleshooter still tells me AMIP needs updating.

I don't actually have any problems with Foobar or AMIP, I just wondered why this is happening.

Hi, I have latest Winamp 5 (5.581), latest stable AMIP and I have the following problem: no special chars are displayed from song title (and other strings) ... I have this setting:

DDE_STRING4="%?1<%?2<%1 - %2%?5<%?4< [%4, %5]| [%5]>|%?4< [%4]|>>|%s>|%s>"

and I tried $enc function but it was even more bad ... for example I need "Ska-P - Simp�tico holgaz�n" and what I get is only "Ska-P - Simpatico holgazan" ... or some czech language specifics (č, š, ž and others)

can anybody help me? Thx in advance!

AMIP 2.67 @ Winamp 5.581 isn't working properly

Hi, I've recently updated my Winamp to 5.581 and I can't use AMIP with my mIRC 6.35 anymore.

I've tested these methods so far:
mp3a /say 08 $dde(mPlug,format,"•_%name_08• 01%min09:01%sec~ 08• 01%br~1Kbps09/01%sr~1kHz09/01%mode 08•") (my old one which worked fine with the old Winamp version)
mp3 /dde mplug announce
mp3 /dde mplug announce preset 1
and the result was everytime the same - nothing happened. The only way to make AMIP announce songs is using "Announce automatically", but I don't really like the idea. Did anyone experience something like that? Is there any way to fix that?

AMIP & Miranda over network

Hi,
Miranda plugin works fine with foobar on the same machine.
But mostly I play music on another machine - where I installed AMIP and configured it to listen on 192.168.61.200.

Miranda won't show anything - so it seems I have to tell the plugin to get information not from local machine...

Edit: I even deactivated my firewalls - so that's not the problem.

i had a mirc script that went like this

i typed /np and it would show the song and folder name

like np: OST-Dracula_2000-2000-EOS\04-system_of_a_down-metro-eos.mp3

and thats basically all there was to it

can someone paste in a script that does this? as this is pretty confusing

Customising Jump/Search Titles

As you can see, with long album names I can't see track names, which is a pain =P
Is there a way around this? I'd like to dump the numbers and the album name off the list, but expanding the window would be fine too.

Using mIRC 6.2 (I hope this isn't the problem, I don't really like the newer versions), and the latest versions of Winamp and Amip. I'm using the socket transport. Auto announce works fine, but of course I don't want it to announce automatically. However, the /dll ac mexec announce does nothing at all when typed into mIRC. No errors or anything. No effect whatsoever. It does not matter whether auto announce is enabled or not.

Any ideas? Thanks.

I've recently came to know about AMIP. Before I install it, I'm just making sure if its the one I need!
I am searching a way to show in my MSN or Yahoo Messenger the song I am listening to in any of the Media Player like WMP, Winamp, iTunes or even when I play a song in my browser (it could be IE, Firefox or Chrome) without having to intervene in any of these or having to (re)configure AMIP if the player or Messenger differs.
For what I want to do, is AMIP the solution?

I don't know if this is already possible, but haven't found a way to do it ...
Currently, status message is changed only when the song is ...
Maybe you could add an option to choose when to change status msg:

-on song change
-every X seconds

for example, I want to use flag %pm and %ps (current song position minutes and seconds), but I'm getting 00:00 in status message because it changes only when I change the song (and it shows the begging, and thats all) ...

it doesn't update for when i actually use it...and it's really annoying me...

Foobar + Skype related problem

Heya! I recently started using this handy plugin and it's working great besides that one little annoying bug.

So the problem is, that when I listen to song A from band Z and switch to song B from band Z it won't update the song's name. Any ideas how I could resolve this? It's especially annoying since I often enjoy listening to whole albums.

Oh and a bit of a newbie question: how can I change the format of the displayed text? The foobar functions like %artist% or %title% don't seem to work in the skype settings. I couldn't find any info on this, if it's posted somewhere sorry that I missed it.

(edit) Sometimes it's only showing the artist's name without the song, or artist's name + album + title when I just wand artist + title. This is really bugging me.

Current song position in MediaMonkey

Hi all,

I've been using AMIP for quite a while now, but I've started reconfiguring today. In the manual, I came across the 'current song position'. However, I can't get it to work with MediaMonkey, even in the most basic syntax (%ps:%pm). The only thing it does is display 00:00. When I press pause and continue playing afterwards, it does get the new position (the 'pause'-point, so to say), but I gets stuck on that.

Who can help out?

VBR method?

I'm searching for a way of detecting what VBR setting was used on the mp3 (v0, v1, v2, etc)
Best I could find was %MET, but all it shows is either "vbr-mtrh" or Unknown.

Is there anyway of getting that information out of an mp3? I know some programs such as MrQuestionman that can do it, but foobar doesn't do it either.

Would really appreciate some help,

Serge, now that getting a long playlist works I have noticed one oddity wih ac_getSrcPort and ac_getDestPort, and possibly also ac_getSrcHost and ac_getDestHost.

As mention in ac.h ac_getSrcPort should return 60334 and ac_getDestPort should return 60333, However running getplaylist (after the playlist listing) I get:
