It's a long shot and probably no one is going to take this seriously, aac is working in HFS+, but every time I open a song, I have to wait a about 2-3 seconds till it starts playing. Doesn't look like much, but it's really annoying. MP3 is fine, but all my music is aac. I can live with that, but it would be great if this annoyance would dissapear. I'm using v3.20 beta 2, build 1139. Thank you in advance. Other apps open aac without any wait time, but I love AIMP3. I'm using Mac Drive 8.0.7 for HFS+.

Thanks for the feedback, yes, it could be an option. I just don't have a lot of interest and time to implement it in any case, even if I'd get paid $3000. It's a hobby project after all and it is developed for fun, not for money.

Adding Unicode is a boring and time consuming task, it's not fun at all. On the other hand missing Unicode support stops me from adding new features and releasing updates.

I'm not saying that it will never appear, but right now the project is on hold and I don't want to give you promises that I can't carry out, like some other developers do.

I know all too well how real life can come in the way of pet projects (it's the reason I took my website down a year ago, because all the tools and information was so outdated it wasn't worth the price of hosting), however unicode support has been such a "must-have" feature for so long, would you consider a donation pot (like setting up a project at Kickstarter) for unicode support. Let's say if enough people pay 500$ within 30 days you will add the support (I know you are talented enough and there are enough libraries out there that would make it a non-issue based on what you have done so far). Just something I'm hoping you will consider.

Long story - I discovered an old foobar2000 folder in my programs, recalled how nice it sounded compared to winamp and decided to check if there were any now-playing plugins with http support. AMIP came to mind and I came to see if it works with it already... I was very shocked to see that there we absolutely no progress for a year and a half. No new versions, features, bug fixes and whatever...
Short story... If you're tired of developing it, why not share the source code? I can't guarantee that there will be people who would continue your work but at least I am confident that I can slightly modify it to suit my own needs.

[resolved]MSN Advanced formatting fix?

http://amip.tools-for.net/board/index.php?showtopic=609&view=findpost&p=2231

<strike>In the newest MSN, I've noticed that if you use an alternative formatting like this: %1 - %2 [Album: %4~] it shows up as(for example): "Foo Fighters - Everlong [Album: Greatest Hits] -". My guess is that you send the custom field as the artist field and nothing to the song field. I wonder if you could fix the behavior so that if you use a " - " in your formatting, everything before would be as the artist field and everything after would become the song field(or whatever formatting is the standard for WMP etc.)?

A example: How it's done right now: artist->"%1 - %2 [Album: %4~]" song->""
But should be: artist->"%1" song->"%2 [Album: %4~]".
I think MSN automatically does " - " when you send artist + song so ideally you would remove the spaces from the formatting before announcing to msn.</strike>

Thanks for the hard work, by the way!

EDIT: Scrap the whole thread.
You just had to uncheck "alternative formatting", empty the album field, then the "title" field would be before " - " and "artist" field after the " - ". You can use for example "%2 [Album: %4~]" in the artist field without any problems.
