I use latest AMIP beta and latest Winamp and everytime when I playing something, my hdd space decresing with some 0,x MB every second and ~4MB every minute. This bug is also available at latest non-beta, but when I disable hotkeys, the leak is happened ONLY when I rewind/forward/change the song.
I doubt that it's related directly to AMIP.
It is, because it happens even when my mIRC is closed and 'enable AMIP' is unchecked and all other settings are resetted by default. My Winamp doesnt have any other plugins. When I uninstall AMIP there is no free space leak. It should be AMIP bug.
I don't see it on my machine, check that you are not using debug version of AMIP.
You can get this tool: http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/Filemon.html .
Configure filter for winamp.exe process and see if there is any disk activity. What files are being written with AMIP and without AMIP and what is the difference?
Actually there is no write to file. Maybe it's a problem with NTFS streams or something like that, because when I close my Winamp the free space is not back. I need to wait some minutes to come back the missing free space.
Probably it's windows swapping.
No, it isn't. My swap is fixed.
Then I don't know how AMIP can cause it. I'm sure it's not writing NTFS streams.
Also I noticed sometimes (not always) when I check or uncheck 'enable hotkeys' and then click OK, the missing free space comming back.
This is after playing/missing hdd space:
And this is some minutes after that, when hdd space is back:
Anyway my HDD is fragmented, but you can clearly see the difference between the number of User Journal fragments.
