I use this plug-in "AMIP Now playing" and it shows some random characters when I play some russian music (with cyrillic tags) like this:
Unicode is not supported.
Serge, there might be a way...
If I write Unicode characters within the alternative format textbox, or within the "standard" textboxes it is echoed the same to MSN.
It could be that you don't read song name correctly from winamp when it's in Unicode (I have not looked at the SDK variables so I can't confirm).
I would have look at the code and might offer something useful, but it's a close application...
Good luck,
JT.
Try tag.exe sample with id3lib and see how it reads your tags:

Sample mp3 file would be appreciated.

I'll be watching this thread like a hawk if you want to work on this more Serge.
Note: Rapidshare fails, you'll need to rename the file to change the file extension to .mp3. (Suggested: Слот - Мертвые Звезды.mp3)
