Sorry to have to ask this, but I've been through the documentation and the forum and I just cannot figure out what the correct syntax is.
I'm using AMIP with Mirc 6.35
I always have two channels open in mirc - say they are called #channel1 and #channel2
I want AMIP to say what I'm playing only in #channel1 and never in #channel2
I also want the announcement to look like this: "/me [my nick in the channel that is] is playing..."
I'm using the "File Mapping" transport
My preset string is "/me is playing %name"
I've put "#channel1" in the channels list in the Configurator
This works great if #channel1 is the active channel, but if #channel2 is active then it announces it there instead - which I don't want.
If I change the preset string to "/cme is playing %name" then it only announces in #channel1 (which is what I want), but instead of using my nick it uses the channel name ("#channel1 is playing...").
So, how do I get it to use my nick and only announce in #channel1?
Thanks for any help you can give.
/describe #channel is now playing....
Works fine for me. Could be your mIRC setting or some script.
