AMIP Community _ Support _ multiple np-files in different encodings

Posted by: Valery Kondakoff May 25 2006, 01:10 PM

Hi!

There is my question: if it is possible to let AMIP create several np-files at once in specified character encodings? For example I want two files to be created: np.txt (ANSI encoding) and np_oem.txt (OEM encoding).

I'm using AMIP 2.53 beta (2 May, 2006) with Foobar2000 0.92 b3 under WinXP Pro SP2.

Thank you.

Yes, it's possible and is even http://amip.tools-for.net/wiki/manual/amip#commands.

See the documentation for /fileonce command and note section for russian users.

You can place several different commands in one preset/callback to write several files in different encodings at a time.

Another possible solution (in case you want to use encoding not supported by AMIP) would be to use /exec command to run some external command line tool that will encode existing file into the encoding you need.
